The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has published its Humboldt Ranking 2023, listing the University of Stuttgart in 13th place with 24.22 visiting researchers per 100 professors.
The guest residencies undertaken by receivers of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation grants from 2018 to 2022 were evaluated for the ranking. It shows where in Germany scientists who have received scholarships or prizes from the foundation have conducted research in the past five years. In order to avoid statistical distortions due to the different sizes of the host institutions, the ranking relates the guest residencies to the number of professorships at the respective university.
