Science communication - how and why?

The workshop deals with the basics of science communication.

In an introductory lecture, participants will be sensitized to the importance of science communication and will learn the basics of good science communication. The lecture will be followed by an interactive exercise part, where individual key messages are further developed. In the final question-and-answer part, specific questions that arise from the previous two sections of the workshop will be addressed. Questions about possible career paths in science communication can also be answered.

The workshop, offered in English and free of charge, will be held by the Nationales Institut für Wissenschaftskommunikation gGmbH (NaWik), which has been teaching scientists, students and professional public relations workers the basics of good science communication for over ten years.

Is the workshop for you?

Anyone who registered for our conference can also apply for participation in the ECR workshop. However, priority will be given applicants from the 3R-Network BW that fit to our ECR eligibility criteria.

Upon completion of the online form, the applicants will receive a confirmation of submission that does not guarantee a participation slot. After evaluation of all applications, applicants will receive a separate email informing them whether they have been selected for participation. After accommodating applications from the 3R-Network BW ECRs, remaining spots will be allocated to external applicants.
